Dr. Angie's courses, workshops and in-services inspire participants to organize their thinking differently when it comes to core training and pelvic health. She uses a unique framework that encourages deeper consideration of organ position, intra-abdominal pressure, posture, breathing, and neurophysiology when creating programs for core strengthening.

LOW PRESSURE FITNESS EDUCATION

The LPF certification is for Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Personal Trainers, Doulas, Midwives, Pilates Instructors, Yoga Instructors, and Health & Wellness Professionals. It consists of 45 hours of in-person training, and is divided into 3 levels, each level being 15 hours. CEUs available

LEVEL 1

The level 1 course will provide the basic theory and physiology of the hypopressive method, review its benefits, and explain how and why it evolved from a rehabilitative tool to a whole body reprogramming regime. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of how to trigger the breath in themselves and how to coach it to clients. Students are also required to demonstrate mastery of all of the 10 basic postures.

THEORETICAL CONTENTS

  • Abdomino-pelvic and respiratory anatomy and pathophysiology
  • Posturology
  • Health and prevention through Low Pressure Fitness
  • Pelvic floor anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and functional assessment
  • Practical and scientific evidence

PRACTICAL CONTENTS

  • Basic exercises, transitions and progression
  • Procedure, precautions and professional skills
  • Technical principles of initiation
  • Diaphragmatic myofascial release exercises
  • Abdominal muscle assessment
  • Methodology and procedure in one to one LPF sessions

Upon completion of this course, students will be qualified to train individual clients in the Low Pressure Fitness method. The student will receive a 15 hour attendance certificate.

LEVEL 2

The second course will provide students with a more in-depth theoretical understanding of Low Pressure Fitness. This advanced and dynamic LPF exercise series is practiced at length to ensure students are comfortable with the new program and progressions.

THEORETICAL CONTENTS

  • Subjective and objective intake, and patient initial assessment
  • Low Pressure Fitness and the Proprioceptive system
  • Posturology and articular mobility
  • How to organize a LPF Session
  • Teaching & communication skills

PRACTICAL CONTENTS

  • Myofascial release techniques for the anterior and superior shoulder chain
  • Exercises, transitions and progressions of the intermediate level exercises
  • Low Pressure Fitness in movement
  • Low Pressure Fitness teaching methodology and advanced procedures for individual and small group sessions
  • Complete assessment of client status and needs
  • Protocols and exercise prescription

Upon completion of this course the student will be required to demonstrate ability to teach advanced series and know its progressions from level 1 static series through level 2 dynamic series

LEVEL 3

In the third level, the student will acquire the final knowledge to become a Low Pressure Fitness expert. A deeper look will be taken at the Low Pressure Fitness exercises and further instruction will be provided on how to integrate complementary tools such as muscle stimulators, elastic straps and stabilizers.

  • Neurodynamic Techniques and Hypopressives
  • Respiratory and Hypoxic Physiology
  • Myofascial chains and Hypopressives
  • Pelviperineal Biomechanics
  • Pelvic Floor Sport Pathophysiology
  • Complementary Training (stabilizer, oximeter, mask, Elos)

PRACTICAL CONTENTS

  • Myofascial release preparatory exercises
  • Arms torsion for LPF exercises
  • Level 3 exercises
  • Transitions, progressions and methodological adaptations of the level 3 sequence

Upon completion of level 3 course, the student will be required to pass the Low Pressure Fitness exam in order to become a certified Low Pressure Fitness Trainer.
