I was lucky enough to cross paths with Angie 5 years after having my twins and inguinal surgery. I would have been extra lucky if I met her prior to all that.  Anyway I took a class of hers on low pressure fitness. It opened my eyes! I realized I still had a 2 finger gap between by abs. I continued to take classes from her. Learning a new way to truly strengthen and repair your core, pelvic floor, lift your organs, improve your breathing, it’s a method that does it all.

“I came across Dr. Angie while visiting Kauai. I spend a lot of time in the water, diving and spearfishing. Before my trip to Kauai I was practicing my breath holds, which I felt were pretty good but not as long as most of my other friends that are at my same level. Upon visiting Kauai, my back was feeling sore and tight. I ended up finding Core Recovery, and Dr. Angie helped to diagnose my breath hold was limited by the soreness in my back, which as related to a compression fracture in my vertebrae 20 years earlier. She treated me for the soreness in my back with stretching, massage and posture correction. Most importantly Angie taught me a technique called Hypopressive Breathing which has helped me to open up my diaphragm (which is connected to the compressed vertebrae I damaged 20 years before) and consume more oxygen. Having a very late diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis I had moved from being a nutritionally aware, active alternative practitioner able to manage chronic fatigue to a woman stuck on the coach in immovable excruciating pain that no meds could sort for two years. If I wasn’t in pain I was too exhausted to move and I looked full term pregnant with the endo belly. While I was doing all the right things nutrition wise it was having apparently little effect, surgery had helped a small bit and I was in an awful state. I was unable to either work, do anything in the house and things were miserable. All my Drs could offer was more painkillers, hormones that weren’t working and rest. I felt like a desperate zombie.

With regular practice my posture has altered, the endo belly reducing week by week. On days when I get the odd twinge a minute or so extra exercise usually sends it packing. Having my own medical practice I quickly realized how extensive and far reaching Dr. Mueller’s comprehension of the problems she tackles is. Her vision of how to approach problems is holistically wide, the methods simple to use and her personal touch warm and empathetic. Encouraged clearly every step of the way the process gradually built confidence in practice. “I wanted to take a minute to share my gratitude for all of the work you've done with me. As you may know from our sessions together I am a mother of 2, an elementary school teacher and a very active person who loves surfing, hiking, yoga and all things exercise! The program has been absolutely amazing, whilst I’ve also been modifying other lifestyle habits I firmly believe the core recovery method has been integral in my healing. Life changing even. I just feel so much better doing your program. My life is changing because of it. I no longer have low back pain!! This was due to a car-pedestrian hit, like in the movies, and just glad to be alive; and due to a blast injury. I always thought I was stuck with low back pain. No more. I noticed the difference in the back as soon as I started the decompression breathing. That is amazing that those muscles are the ones to sort my back problems out. All the exercises are perfect for me, including the glutes. I will not be stopping. I need that organ back where she belongs and I like how this program is adding quality to my life. It is slowing down the aging process! Even my arthritis isn't acting up the way it use to. It is still there, but by far and wide more manageable and less disturbing. 

I am over 65 and doing this program blows my mind! I have always maintained good posture but was getting weak in the spine and pelvic region. With those injuries I had, I have had my challenges with not being able to do certain activities. I am now back to my daily power walks, gardening and not being afraid to do tasks that use to cause me severe pain. Walking is all about the hips, SI joints and sacrum / low back. I still cannot get over how breathing properly and doing those breath exercises changes everything. The core is so important! And we can't forget that! My osteoarthritis likes the glute exercises! I move like running deer through the forest. That is why this curriculum is such a blessing to me! Core Health is the key to good health!

“I've had spinal compression my whole life due to childhood asthma. The compression was severe and worsened over time, but I had no understanding of the anatomical systems involved or how to fix it, or even how to explain to a doctor what I felt in my body. This left me feeling very physically and emotionally disconnected from my body. I was also unable to activate my core, even when doing pilates multiple times a week for several years. Discovering Angie was a life changing experience. She is such an attentive, positive, motivating and kind therapist.
